Stretching before a slow run. If you decide to run keep your heartrate in the moderate intensity range. Run less than 5km at a time. Cool down and then run the next 5km. This is to ensure you are not stressing your body but are building your endurance. (Research, Dr. Horstkamp JD 2016-2025)
