Stretching

Stretching exercises encompass a variety of techniques aimed at improving flexibility and enhancing mobility. These include Static stretching (holding a stretch for a period), Dynamic stretching (controlled movements such as leg swings), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) which involves contract-relax cycles, Active stretching (using your own muscles to move through the range of motion), Passive stretching (applying an external force to deepen the stretch), Ballistic stretching (bouncing movements, which carry a higher risk), and Isometric stretching (contracting muscles without changing length). Each method targets muscle lengthening and joint flexibility using different approaches to how the stretch is held or performed.
